A Sense of Place - Contemporary Live Practice

My only hard-surfaces project to date was a live brief with Olivia Howick, an award-winning CMF designer, who challenged us to create a beautifully finished, eco-conscious boutique flagship hotel interior. I loved working on this project - exploring a decorative drawing style using inspiration from The Eden Project and Turkish florals. To align with my chosen context, Penhale Camp, a neglected military site perched on the derelict clifftops of Newquay, Cornwall, I focused on using natural, recycled, and waste materials. This project was also my first real opportunity to experiment with the laser cutter and AUB workshop facilities, which became an exciting creative playground for me. It was such a rewarding process, and I really enjoyed bringing these pieces to life in my visualisations.
